Sudan’s governing National Congress Party (NCP) has downplayed fears it is looking to introduce further cuts to fuel subsidies, following recommendations by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to do so.
In an annual report released earlier this month, the IMF praised the Sudanese government for its implementation of stringent austerity measures some months ago – which included among them the reduction of subsidies on fuel products. (CONTINUED - 546 WORDS)
