Egypt's economy is strengthening on the back of major offshore gas finds but political freedoms have been snuffed out. In Tunisia, freedom is greater but investment has nosedived amid instability. Libya remains an unstable mess with little sign of a resolution, whilst Algeria is at a crossroads.
