Norway’s Spectrum announced on 19 November the start of phase II of its multi-client 3D survey in the Levantine Basin offshore Lebanon. The survey, adjacent to Phase I, is to comprise 1,200 sq km and the acquisition is scheduled to finish in December. A fast track result of the survey is planned to be available for delivery to clients by end January 2013, with the final product available by mid-April 2013.
Phase I of the 3D survey of the basin began at the end of August, focusing on the southwest sector of Lebanon’s Exclusive Economic Zone near the borders of the territorial zones of Cyprus and Israel, but excluding the area contested by Israel (MEES, 14 September). (CONTINUED - 278 WORDS)
