The arriving ships, according to Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency, were part of Iran’s 23rd fleet – the Jamaran destroyer and Bushehr helicopter carrier – and came on the back of comments made by Sudanese Navy Commander ‘Abd Allah Matari, in which he called for the further expansion of Irano-Sudanese military cooperation in the coming years.
