PTT has so far notched up four, albeit modest, successes among the five wells so far drilled in its nine-well late 2011 to early 2013 exploration program on the Berkine Basin’s Hassi Bir Rekaiz block. A sixth well is due to be spudded imminently.
The most recent well hit 1,900 b/d in the Triassic and 550 b/d in the Ordovician – confirming flows from earlier wells in both formations. PTT says it is considering a further appraisal program to assess reserves. (CONTINUED - 457 WORDS)
