Saudi Aramco has moved forward with plans to raise production of light crude oil with the award of a Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract for the Khurais field, the first of two oil fields slated for further development, as part of the OPEC giant’s reservoir management program. It has also proceeded apace with another award for its master gas system expansion.
The FEED contract for Aramco’s Khurais Arabian Light Crude Increment Program was awarded to Switzerland-based Foster Wheeler. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Foster Wheeler said on 21 October that the FEED is expected to be completed by 2Q14. (CONTINUED - 353 WORDS)
