Italy’s Eni plans to add 5,000 b/d to its Egyptian output over the next 12 months by bringing onstream the Rosa North field on the Meleiha concession in Egypt’s Western Desert, “part of Eni’s strategy to refocus exploration activities in Egypt by targeting deeper oil plays in the Western Desert.” This follows the successful drilling of a recent appraisal well which hit total oil pay of 80ms.
The bulk of Eni’s current Egyptian production comes from Gulf of Suez and offshore Nile Delta gas. (CONTINUED - 301 WORDS)
