Rebel fighters launched an attack in Syria’s Dair al-Zour province on 31 March, setting three oil wells on fire, local media reported this week. This, the country’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said, resulted in a daily loss of up to 5,000 barrels of oil and 52,000 cu ms of gas.
