In a meeting with senior executives from the Greater Pioneer Operating Company (GPOC) and Dar Petroleum Operating Company (DPOC), Sudan’s Minister of Petroleum ‘Awad Ahmad al-Jaz presented an official letter ordering the companies to halt all oil transfer and export operations through the North within 60 days.
Both consortia are led by Chinese state firm CNPC and Malaysian state firm Petronas and operate the key producing fields in South Sudan and the pipelines built to transport the crude to Port Sudan in the north. (CONTINUED - 680 WORDS)
