Abd al-Hamid Zerguine, chief executive of state oil and gas giant Sonatrach, speaking at the North Africa Gas conference in Rome on 25 June, said construction of the 20bcm/year southwest gas project’s (SWGP) key GR5 pipeline began three months ago with the route “10% complete.”
The line should be ready by March 2016, he adds. This is back from a November 2015 target completion date when construction contracts for the 48-inch, 780km trunk pipeline were awarded late last year (MEES, 2 November 2012). (CONTINUED - 671 WORDS)
