Shell remains committed to its Kidan gas project in Saudi Arabia and is in negotiations with partner Saudi Aramco on commercial terms for development, a Shell spokesman tells MEES, dismissing talk that the Anglo-Dutch major was on the verge of relinquishing its stake in the joint venture.
“Shell is in regular dialogue with officials at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and our joint venture partner, Saudi Aramco, in the South Rub’ al-Khali Company Ltd. (SRAK) on the Kidan project,” a Shell spokesman said in written responses to questions on the matter. “Shell is committed to the kingdom and we are keen to grow our investments, both upstream and downstream.” (CONTINUED - 605 WORDS)
