Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) is pushing on with its 100,000 b/d oil field development of the offshore Umm Lulu field, awarding a $1.69bn contract to a consortium of local contractor National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and France's Technip. The work will be finished by mid-2018.
Umm Lulu development is part of ADMA-OPCO’s plans to add around 300,000 b/d of oil from three offshore fields to boost the consortium’s output to about 1mn b/d by 2020, lifting the Emirate’s total production capacity to 3.5mn b/d. Delays to offshore production mean Abu Dhabi’s long-standing overall 3.5mn b/d production target has been pushed back from 2017 (MEES, 21 June). (CONTINUED - 288 WORDS)
