Jordan power utility Nepco has signed a power purchase deal with Abu Dhabi’s state Masdar to help develop the kingdom’s largest solar project to be built, owned and operated by Bainounah Power Company, wholly-owned by Masdar.
The 200MW solar PV plant will be built at Al Muwaqqar just south of Amman. A schedule has not been announced but Masdar says it will contribute to 1.8GW renewables capacity Jordan plans by 2020. (CONTINUED - 466 WORDS)
