Kuwait’s reappointed PM Jabir Mubarak Al-Sabah on 10 December announced his new cabinet following recent parliamentary elections. It features a number of familiar faces. But some things don’t change. Relations between parliament and government are set to remain fiery, with the current parliament unlikely to be as long lived as its predecessor, which managed more than three years.
One change was that Finance Minister Anas al-Salih was relieved of the interim oil minister posting he had held since November 2015. The new oil minister is Isam al-Marzuq who was on the board of state oil firm KPC and served as COO of its international arm KPI between 2007-2013. (CONTINUED - 705 WORDS)
