Houston-headquartered oilfield services giant Schlumberger has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and non-disclosure agreement with NISOC, the largest producing subsidiary of state upstream firm NIOC, according to the Iranian petroleum ministry’s Shana news service.
The report says Schlumberger “used to be active in Iran prior to sanctions and is now getting prepared to return.” The agreements cover studies of the Asmari and Khami formations in Rag Sefid field, the Asmari formation in Parsi, and the Asmari and Bangestan formations in Shadegan.
