State oil giant Saudi Aramco has added to its domestic refining projects program with the award of a contract to oversee an upgrade of its Sasref joint venture refinery with Anglo-Dutch major Shell.
Aramco and Shell awarded US firm CB&I a $95mn contract to oversee engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work on the modernization and expansion of its 305,000 b/d Sasref export refinery at Jubail on the Gulf coast. CB&I says that the upgrade will enable the Sasref partners to “generate maximum returns through sustainable fuels production” at Euro-5 specifications. (CONTINUED - 790 WORDS)
