Algeria’s sales gas output for 2017 is set to fall just short of 2016’s record 94.8bcm. The lack of new field start-ups has more than outweighed a hike in production from the BP/Statoil-led In Amenas field as well as gains from reduced gas injection at the country’s aging oil fields.
Gas output for the first 10 months of 2017 was 76.5bcm, down from last year’s 78.0bcm. Even presuming an end-year boost, we are set to see 93-93.5bcm for 2017 as a whole, around 2% short of 2016, though still the second highest figure on record. (CONTINUED - 1789 WORDS)
