Egypt has finished negotiations with Russia for the construction of four nuclear power plants at Dabaa, 170km west of Alexandria on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast, Minister of Electricity Muhammad Shakir told TASS news agency on 6 August. The preliminary agreement was signed in late 2015.
Four agreements between the two governments will be ready for implementation after final approval by Cairo’s Supreme Administrative Court, says Mr Shakir, after which military engineers will spend six months clearing mines from the site. (CONTINUED - 614 WORDS)
