Dubai state oil firm Enoc has awarded the final contract for a project to raise capacity of its Jebel Ali condensate splitters plant by 50% to 210,000 b/d. Local firm Overseas-AST was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for pipelines connecting the new splitter to existing processing units, new storage tanks and the tanker loading berth.

Although the value of the deal has not been revealed, Enoc says the expansion will cost $1bn in total. The project comprises the construction of a 70,000 b/d condensate splitter and associated facilities alongside two similarly sized splitters. Commercial production at the plant is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2019. (CONTINUED - 281 WORDS)
