Libya’s key gas output comes from fields operated by the Eni-led Mellitah Oil & Gas consortium, namely the offshore Bahr Essalam field and the Wafa field on the Algerian border.
Both are linked to Mellitah port by pipeline from where gas is exported to Italy via the 8bcm/y-capacity Greenstream pipeline. Gas is also supplied to Tripoli 100km to the east and to other key coastal cities (as far as Benghazi) via the country’s only trunk gas pipeline. (CONTINUED - 190 WORDS)
