Kuwait Oil Minister Bakhit al-Rashidi has been ‘grilled’ by MPs this week with accusations focusing on state overseas downstream firm KPI’s investment in the delayed Nghi Son joint venture refinery in Vietnam, where Japan’s Idemitsu is operator and KPI holds 35.1%.
Ten MPs filed a no-confidence motion against Mr Rashidi, one of a number of ministers including Prime Minister Sheikh Jabir al-Mubarak Al-Sabah who were grilled.
