Egypt’s Alexandria National Refining & Petrochemical Co (ANRPC) has begun commercial operation at a continuous catalytic reformer built alongside the 90,000 b/d refinery operated by Alexandria Petroleum Co (APC).
The reformer will take 13,500 b/d of naphtha for processing into 635,000 t/y (just over 14,800 b/d) of reformate, a key gasoline additive, plus 10,000 t/y (almost 320,000 b/d) of LPG. It was built at an estimated cost just short of $300mn. (CONTINUED - 613 WORDS)
