Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc, India’s Adani Group, Germany’s BASF and Austria’s Borealis – Adnoc’s partner in the Borouge petrochemicals JV in Abu Dhabi – have signed an MoU for a joint feasibility study into a propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) complex to be built at Mundra in Gujarat province on India’s west coast.
The PDH/PP complex will be the first overseas joint investment by the Borouge JV partners (Adnoc 60%, Borealis 40%) who operate three ethane crackers and polyolefins complexes with combined output of 4.33mn t/y at Ruwais and plan further expansion (MEES, 1 March). (CONTINUED - 650 WORDS)
