Following the recent installation of a 10,000 b/d early production facility (EPF), output from the Atrush field in Iraqi Kurdistan has reached a record 45,000 b/d. Atrush (Taqa 47.4%op, Shamaran 27.6%, KRG 25%) is currently the third largest producing foreign-operated field in Kurdistan, behind the DNO-operated duo of Tawke (75,000 b/d) and Peshkabir (55,000 b/d).
Shamaran President and Chief Executive Officer Dr Adel Chaouch said, “This is another important milestone reached on Atrush’s upward path to higher production and has been attained ahead of target… we look forward to continuing further upward on this path.” The Atrush partners target exiting 2019 with 45,000-50,000 b/d production and are working on further major increases. A second processing train is to be installed at the PF1 facility in 2020 to boost the field’s capacity to 80,000 b/d in 2021. (CONTINUED - 134 WORDS)
