Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Water & Electricity Company (Ewec) and Saudi private developer Acwa Power have closed financing on the world’s largest reverse osmosis (RO) desalination plant, with capacity to process 909,200 m³/d of seawater.
The plant will be 44% larger than the world’s current largest RO plant – Israel’s 624,000 m³/d Sorek, brought online in 2013. (CONTINUED - 836 WORDS)
