Qatar’s decision to ramp up the scale of its massive LNG expansion project (MEES, 29 November) will also provide the emirate with a substantial increase in condensate volumes, alongside ethane and LPG. Overall, QP says the expansion will bring capacity up from 4.8mn boe/d to 6.7mn boe/d.
Prior to this week’s announcement the North Field Expansion (NFE) was set to add 260,000 b/d of condensate and 11,000 t/d of LPG to Qatari output. Assuming the ratio remains broadly constant, the NFE ought to now add more than 385,000 b/d of condensate and 16,000 t/y of LPG. (CONTINUED - 363 WORDS)
