Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity is reconsidering its $6bn plans to develop two coal-fired power generation plants with a combined capacity of 9.24GW.
Gaber Desouky, chairman of state power generator EEHC, told Al Mal newspaper this week the ministry is considering either postponing the two coal-fired projects or developing that amount of capacity in renewables projects. (CONTINUED - 1038 WORDS)
