Chinese state firm Sinopec announced on 16 December that its Sinopec Luoyang Engineering subsidiary has reached mechanical completion of “the central unit” of the Al-Zour refinery project, under construction in southern Kuwait near the border with Saudi Arabia.
While the company does not specify the unit’s purpose, the implication is that it is the crude distillation unit (CDU), which will have 615,000 b/d capacity. This is one of 15 process units that Sinopec Luoyang is building in the Al-Zour development. (CONTINUED - 296 WORDS)
