The platform legs, or jacket, for Israel’s 21.5tcf Leviathan field arrived this week and will be installed in 86ms water depth, 10km offshore the coastal town of Dor. The field itself is 120km further offshore in 1,500ms water depth. The platform’s topside is due to arrive in the second half of this year after which commissioning will take place, with gas flows due to start by the end of the year, operator US firm Noble estimates.
Noble plans to export 350mn cfd of 1.2bn cfd Phase 1 output to Egypt, although pipeline constraints within Israel’s natural gas line network could delay the deal signed with private Egyptian consortium Dolphinus (MEES, 23 November 2018). (CONTINUED - 113 WORDS)
