*With Libyan crude output reaching a six-year high of 1mn b/d in 2018 it is no wonder that exports followed suit; at around 900,000 b/d they were the highest since 2012. China has moved in to drink up the increased volumes, importing 172,000 b/d in 2018, overtaking Germany’s 145,000 b/d to claim the top spot.
