Libya exported a three-and-half year high of 629mn cfd to Italy in May through its sole export outlet the Greenstream pipeline across the Mediterranean Sea.
Though a two- month war for the capital Tripoli is being played out by eastern- and western-based forces, so far neither oil nor gas output has been affected. In fact, Libya’s crude output came in at a six-year high 1.26mn b/d in May and gas output is also on the rise as two Eni-led projects in the east of the country continue to ramp up output (MEES, 7 June).
