Egypt is set to bring online a key refinery upgrading project next month as it works towards its delayed plans to become self sufficient in transport fuels by 2022.
Cairo-based investment firm Qalaa Holdings is leading the Egyptian Refining Company (ERC) hydrocracker development and says it expects it to complete trial operations in August. ERC is located alongside an aging refinery at Musturud outside Cairo, and could be operational around one month later. (CONTINUED - 782 WORDS)
