Oman exported 510,000 barrels (17,000 b/d) to Thailand in June, the first delivery to the Asian buyer in nearly two years. Thailand used to be a regular taker of Omani crude, importing 25,000 b/d in 2015 before volumes fell to 1,000 b/d the following year.
Asian buyers, as usual, imported nearly all of Oman’s crude in June with only Tanzania the exception taking 13,000 b/d of the total 804,000 b/d exported. China remained top buyer, importing 563,000 b/d (70% of the total) which was significantly down on the 2018 average (MEES, 28 June). (CONTINUED - 89 WORDS)
