Saudi Aramco and Japan’s Sumitomo have begun reliability testing of their long-delayed Rabigh-2 petrochemical expansion project in their Petro Rabigh joint venture refinery and petchems complex on the Saudi Gulf coast.
The partners announced on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) that testing would begin on 1 August and is intended to demonstrate that the Rabigh-2 project can operate at high rates with a continuous production level of “at least 80% [of capacity] and for an extended period of time lasting approximately 90 consecutive days.” (CONTINUED - 180 WORDS)
