Algeria’s chronically-delayed 4.5bcm/y Touat project is “due onstream imminently,” with “exports to commence today or tomorrow… we’re waiting for the greenlight to start up,” Jim House CEO of operator Neptune Energy told his firm’s 1H earnings call on 29 August. The London-based firm had previously said Touat was set for commercial production at end-June and plateau in July (MEES, 31 May).
Neptune says “first export gas is slightly later than expected, reflecting delays with the export pipeline.” The GR-5 pipeline which will carry Touat volumes to the Hassi R’Mel gas hub was ostensibly completed in 2016 (MEES, 25 August 2017). (CONTINUED - 389 WORDS)
