Egypt is producing gas at record levels, though Q2 saw a slight dip to 6.52mn cfd from Q1’s record 6.57bn cfd. The record Q1 output owed much to the ramp-up of Eni’s 21.5tcf Zohr field to 2.3bn cfd as well as Phase 2 of BP’s West Nile Delta (WND) project coming online in February (MEES, 17 May).
A seventh processing train at Zohr came online last month and is due to raise the field’s output to 2.95bn cfd, before the eighth and final train comes online at end of this year, taking output to the 3.2bn cfd plateau. (CONTINUED - 225 WORDS)
