Algeria’s long-delayed 4.5bcm/y (450mn cfd) Touat gas project has finally started up with operator Neptune Energy announcing commercial start-up on 7 September. The London-based firm said in its 1H 2019 results it expects Touat to reach plateau production in December (MEES, 30 August).
Work on Touat Phase II has already begun. This “covers the remaining eight fields which will help to maintain the plateau of 450mn cfd,” Neptune says, adding that it expects Touat to be in production for 20 years. (CONTINUED - 133 WORDS)
