Saudi Arabia’s newly-appointed Energy Minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman was keen to push the kingdom’s planned energy transition during the World Economic Congress (WEC) in Abu Dhabi this week. His predecessor Khalid al-Falih frequently cited this ambition during his tenure (MEES, 18 January), but with Prince Abdulaziz having worked extensively on the topic during his decades in the ministry this will remain a priority.
