Egypt’s gas output is running at a new record of 7.2bn cfd, Osama El Bakly, head of state gas firm EGAS said on 22 September.
The two key projects which have helped boost output to the new high are Italian firm Eni’s 21.5tcf Zohr gas field which is currently producing around 2.7bn cfd and UK major BP’s West Nile Delta project which is this month due to add 900mn cfd through its Phase-3 Raven field (MEES, 6 September).
