Kuwait state refiner KNPC has begun commissioning of a 73,000 b/d diesel unit at Mina Abdullah refinery, the firm announced on Twitter on 2 September. This marks the beginning of commissioning of a clean fuels project (CFP) expansion and upgrade at the Mina Abdulla and Mina al-Ahmadi refineries.
Additional diesel units are being built, with diesel being the CFP’s main product, comprising 37.5% of output – ie over 300,000 b/d, given the combined throughput capacity of the upgraded refineries of 801,000 b/d. (CONTINUED - 211 WORDS)
