Iraq’s plans to increase crude oil production capacity from 5mn b/d to 7mn b/d have once again been pushed back. Oil Minister Ihsan Ismaeel told this week’s CWC Iraq Petroleum conference that Iraq intends to add the additional 2mn b/d capacity by 2027.
Just weeks ago Mr Ismaeel had stated that Iraq was targeting 7mn b/d by 2025 (MEES, 28 August), and in 2018 the oil ministry had been targeting 7mn b/d by 2022. (CONTINUED - 569 WORDS)
