Saudi state water utility SWPC on 1 November announced a list of three consortia and one company that have submitted bids to develop the Jubail 3B desalination plant as an independent power project (IWP).
The four lead bidders are international firms – Spain’s Aqualia, France’s Engie and Veolia, and UAE’s Utico. Saudi firms are potential partners in three of the bidding groups while Utico is going solo (see table). (CONTINUED - 262 WORDS)
