Egypt’s gas-based petrochemicals sector is receiving increased volumes of feedstock and production is rising, but few additions to capacity have been made recently and proposed projects are progressing slowly.
Power generation is Egypt’s largest gas consumer, accounting for 62.3% of the country’s 6.0bn cfd 2018-19 gas consumption. Petrochemicals production accounted for 10.1%, and the related fertilizers sector the same again. (CONTINUED - 793 WORDS)
