Saudi Aramco and joint venture partner Sumitomo have shut their Petro Rabigh refining and petchems complex on the Saudi Red Sea for around 60 days from 1 March.
The complex comprises a 400,000 b/d refinery and 5mn t/y of petchems capacity developed in two phases: Phase 1 comprising 2.40mn t/y of mainly ethylene-derived products based around an ethane cracker; and 2.57mn t/y Phase 2 including 1.76mn t/y of aromatics. (CONTINUED - 262 WORDS)
