Saudi Arabia’s Advanced Petrochemical has signed a shareholders’ agreement with Korea’s SK Gas for construction of a $1.8bn propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene complex at Jubail on the Gulf coast for start-up in the second half of 2024.
The complex will comprise a PDH unit with capacity to deliver 843,000 t/y of propylene, which will feed two PP plants producing up to 800,000 t/y combined. The PDH unit will require up to 995,000 t/y of propane feedstock, to be supplied by Saudi Aramco on a long-term basis. (CONTINUED - 341 WORDS)
