Turkey imported a record 357,000 b/d from Iraq in April, beating the previous 306,000 b/d record set just a month earlier (MEES, 5 June). Average volumes of 270,000 b/d for the first four months of 2020 are up 85% year-on-year and on track to top 2015’s annual record of 229,000 b/d.
Figures from data analysis firm Kpler show Turkey imported 209,000 b/d of seaborne Iraqi crude in April, implying that a further 148,000 b/d was piped directly to the Kirikkale refinery south of Ankara. (CONTINUED - 282 WORDS)
