Abu Dhabi’s Adnoc issued a progress report on its Crude Flexibility Project (CFP) at Ruwais West refinery on 17 August, saying “much of the physical infrastructure required for the CFP has now been put in place” and completion is expected in mid-2022.
Key units, including two fractionators and 24 atmospheric residue desulfurizer (ARDS) reactors, were delivered to the site from Korea and installed during June and July. The ARDS EPC contract was awarded to Korea’s Samsung Engineering and US firm CB&I, recently taken over by McDermott. (CONTINUED - 169 WORDS)
