Oil major BP this week released its 2020 Energy Outlook as part of ‘BP Week’ (yes, really).
Whilst there was some attempt to claim that the forecasts (sorry, ‘scenarios’) contained in the Outlook were driving BP’s corporate strategy, it is hard to escape the conclusion that the relationship is at least in part in the other direction, with the choice of scenarios driven by the company’s recent damascene policy shift (MEES, 18 September).
