Egypt exported just seven LNG cargoes over the first nine months of 2020, but it sold a further 17 between 26 October and the end of the year as Asian demand came roaring back (see table).
Two cargoes have already been exported since the start of 2021 from the the 7.2mn t/y ELNG plant at Idku while MEES learns that the January and February loading schedule is full (in line with November and December). This implies 32 cargoes for the four-month peak winter season, well up from 22 for the year-ago period and the highest comparable figure since 37 for the 2011-12 winter peak. (CONTINUED - 541 WORDS)
