Whilst larger players such as Shell, Repsol, Chevron and Total have abandoned hope of making big finds in Morocco, Predator Oil & Gas has joined the list of UK-based minnows hoping to produce modest gas volumes for a modest outlay.
Predator recently completed the first well of a planned four-well campaign on its Guercif concession in northeast Morocco. Six zones within the MOU-1 well will now be tested with Predator hoping they will deliver “a sustained rate of at least 5mn cfd.” Predator reckons that this is the volume needed to justify “an initial Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) development” with “gas sales to industry at a price of $11/’000 ft3” (CONTINUED - 691 WORDS)
